Monthly Favourites #1

My first monthly favourites post! I tend to use the same products most months so that's why I haven't done one each month. However, I have noticed that I have been using these beauty/non beauty items a lot and been looking forward to using them.

Beauty Favourites

Soap & Glory Rich & Foamous Dual-Use Shower & Bath Body Wash
I loveeeee the smell of this body wash. Kinda reminds me of popcorn. I actually use this to shave my legs with. My legs feel and smell amazing after using this and I feel that I get a closer shave without it being to harsh.

Pixi Overnight Glow Serum
This serum is very thick and I actually find the dropper hard to use because of this but I love the results. I put this on every Sunday under my night cream. I love the glow this is giving my skin! My face looks bright and healthy. I know this will be a staple in my routine for a while. And it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin!

Lilibeth of New York Brow Shaper
I shave my face. Sound strange when you say it out loud doesn't it? Having a lot of peach fuzz on my face and being dark haired I have always been self concious about it. I watched a video Carli Bybel uploaded where she showed how she removed her peach fuzz on her face. Quickest I've bought an item from Amazon before!. This is pain free and also doubles up as an exfoliator. It's funny how something as small as removing hair from my face can dramatically change my confidence for the better.

(Btw the hair hasn't grown back darker or thicker).

Essie - Sand Tropez
My go to nail colour for the past few months. I like to play it safe with my nails and this is the perfect nude. It goes with every outfit so I don't have to worry. Only need 2 coats and you're ready to go.

Non Beauty Favourites

Propercorn - Smooth Peanut and Almond
O.M.G why does this taste so good? A colleague at work brought this in for me to try and when I first read the flavour I was a bit worried about what it would taste like. After trying one I had to remind myself I was at work and couldn't shovel handful of the stuff into my mouth! It is so moreish. Doesn't have a strong taste of peanuts either which I was happy about. I have had way to many bags of this since.

Nosh for Students Cookbook
Me and Joe have decided it's time to be adults now and learn to cook. My house is full of cookbooks but the one issue I have is the instructions are to wordy and complicated. I came across this book and have been loving it. Measurements are simple to understand (all you need is a regular sized mug) as well as the instructions. I have tried a handful of recipes so far and all have been tasty. I can't wait to try out some more.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
I still have a PS3 so the new Black Ops was shit for me. I don't even know why they released it onto PS3 it was that pointless. Anyways, I have been sweating this game out again like I'm a 12 year old gamer. Youno we had nice weather recently? I didn't experinece the weather because I was indoors playing this for hours. Especially the zombies. Any spare time I have me and my dad or Joe will be playing this. It's actually getting bad to the point me and Joe are arguing because HE NEVER HAS MY BACK IN THE GAME!!

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
I have just noticed most of my non beauty favs are food related. Such a piggy me. This month has definitely been a peanut craving month. I don't even like the taste of peanuts! But these are more of a salty peanut butter than a nutty one. Does that make sense? All of you have probably already tasted one of these before but I only jumped onto the bandwagon this month. So all I will say is they are scrummy and so glad I finally tried one.

What have you been loving this month?

  1. Some great favourites up there! You should write a post on the recipes you've been making from the student cook book - I'd love to read more on those for some inspiration!

    1. Thank you so much for you comment! Thank you for the idea. I was thinking about doing posts of the recipes. There's a pasta bake in there that is so good!

I'm so jealous that you went to Venice! The food looks amazing.
